Some clear images of cabot's tragopans and silver pheasants surprised wildlife researchers when going through footage filmed by infrared cameras mounted in Wuzhifeng Nature Reserve in east China's Jiangxi Province.

Both birds have become extremely rare because of habitat loss and poaching since the 1980s, hence strengthened measures for protection.

Forest coverage is up to 80 percent in the reserve. Large areas of primitive forest offer agreeable habitat for wild lives.

Nonetheless, greater efforts have been made to increase berry plants so as to attract more migratory birds.
