Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi said Sunday that the introduction of national security legislation for Hong Kong Special Administrative Region is imperative and urgent. Wang made the remarks at a press conference on the sidelines of the third session of the 13th National People's Congress, as he answered questions of journalists from home and abroad on China's foreign policy and foreign relations. Wang said the Hong Kong issue is purely China's internal affair and China doesn't allow any foreign interference. NPC deputies from Hong Kong and members of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) from Hong Kong have voiced their support for the bill, said Wang.
