Gou Qiang teaches at the high school affiliated to Shandong Normal University. He teaches grade 12, which is known for the highly-competitive atmosphere and intensive workload. Students in this grade are usually hard at work preparing for the national college entrance examination. This year it has become even more challenging due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
