The footprints of a Siberian Tiger have excited many forest rangers in northeast China's Heilongjiang Province.

After careful analysis, experts conclude that the footprints belong to one particular male.

They have been looking for any sign of the rare animal for years.

Three infrared cameras have been installed near the footprints in case the tiger returns.

Siberian tigers are under first-class state protection in China. It is a globally endangered animal species.

To protect the tiger, China is currently building a tiger national park in northeast China.
