Elderly people were highly vulnerable during the COVID-19 pandemic, as they had a higher mortality rate compared to younger people should they contract the virus.

This stoked fears in elderlies worldwide as they became afraid of going out to buy groceries or even getting much-needed drugs. In Israel, a developer created app "Door2dor," which recruits volunteers to help the elderly.

Raz Gal-Or has not seen his grandma for almost a year. Fearing for her safety, he keeps a distance from her but worries about her daily needs. Luckily, with the help from the app, he was able to see her and know she will be well taken care of by other young volunteers.
