Highlights of work reports from China's top legal bodies

China's top legal bodies have released details showing improvements of the country's business environment. The presidents of the Supreme People's Court and the Supreme People's Procuratorate delivered their respective work reports. The reports detailed progress in the protection of juveniles, with more than 4,000 cases of school bullying settled in 2019. Zhang Jun, president of the Supreme People's Procuratorate, said from 1999 to 2009, China saw an annual 4.8 percent drop in the number of violent offenders. Zhang said those sentenced to more than three years of imprisonment have decreased by over 24 percent.
