Though the NFL is the least-affected one of the four major sports leagues in North America by the coronavirus, the pandemic still shut down the teams' training facilities and players did not like it. That's why Lamar Jackson, the MVP quarterback of the Baltimore Ravens, decided to do something.

According to the team's wide receiver Miles Boykin, Jackson will host some informal workouts in South Florida next week for his teammates. "We're still finalizing it. Here are going to be a lot of guys down there. There's only so much you can do in [virtual] meetings without being able to go out on the field," said Boykin to reporters in a video interview on Tuesday.

Though the Ravens their reopened their training facility under Phase 1 of the NFL process, players and coaches still could not use it, meaning that the team's offseason practice is going nowhere.

"Right now, we just have the plan to go down there and be able to run through some plays on offense and just play football a little bit to get back to something that we love doing. It'll be exciting for us to be together, just work on that chemistry," said Boykin.

This will be the second time Jackson has organized workouts like this. Last year, he threw similar activities for his teammates and it helped get the players more united and more familiar with each other. The Ravens had the league's best offense last season with 33.2 points per game. 11 of the team's 13 receivers ever caught Jackson's pass in the games.

After a dominant performance (14-2) in the regular season, the Ravens were knocked out 28-12 by the dark horse, the Tennessee Titans, in the playoffs. In order to improve their already intimidating offense, the Ravens selected star running back J.K. Dobbins in the draft to make their monster backfield. Jackson already had the MVP trophy under his name, he wanted the Vince Lombardi Trophy next.
