Supporters of the plan for the national security legislation in Hong Kong say they have collected just over 1 million signatures backing the law. Organizers of the signature collection say they hope the people of Hong Kong will support the legislation. They say it will protect national security, maintain stability and prosperity in Hong Kong and allow people to live and work in peace.
