Russian embassy in U.S.: Police pepper-spraying journalist 'impermissible'
The Russian embassy in the U.S. said Sunday it is "impermissible" that a Russian journalist was attacked by U.S. law enforcement personnel while performing their professional duty.
The embassy's comments on Twitter came after a Russian correspondent was pepper-sprayed by Minneapolis police officers amid protests following the death of George Floyd.
"We remind the U.S. authorities of their international obligations to ensure the safety and unhindered activities of journalists," the embassy tweeted.
