'Kingdom of the egrets' welcomes 20,000 newborn egrets

As the day gets warmer in Nanchang's Xiangshan Park, the last groups of little egrets were hatched. A total of more than 20, 000 little egrets were born this year at the park.

Xiangshan Park is known as the "kingdom of the egrets." In the egret cluster area, there are around five nests on every tree. The park neighbors Poyang Lake, the largest freshwater lake in China. It has a forest coverage of 1,200 hectares, attracting tens of thousands of egrets every year.
