Cristiano Ronaldo and other Serie A stars will be subjected to an exhausting schedule once the season restarts on June 20 following the COVID-19 hiatus.

The Italian topflight, which has been put on hold since mid-March, announced its fixture list on Monday and all teams will face two-games a week for the rest of the campaign as organizers aim to finish the disrupted season on August 2.

According to previous reports, matches will be played behind closed doors and adhering to a strict health protocol. Most weekend match-days will run from Saturday to Monday and midweek rounds from Tuesday to Thursday.

The league will resume with the four matches postponed from previous rounds. The clash between Torino and Parma kick off the restart on June 20 followed by Verona versus Cagliari. Third-placed Inter Milan host Sampdoria the following evening while Atalanta entertain Sassuolo.

The potential title-decider will be staged next month as league leaders Juventus host second-placed Lazio on July 20.

Meanwhile, Italy's football federation president Gabriele Gravina has indicated that some fans might be allowed into stadiums to watch matches if circumstances permit.

"It's a wish, I sincerely hope so. It's hard to imagine that, with all the precautions that are being taken, you cannot have a certain percentage of people in a stadium with 60,000 or 80,000 seats," Gravina said on Monday.
