U.S. President Donald Trump threatened to deploy the United States military into the streets unless states halt the violent protests. Speaking in the Rose Garden on Monday evening, as police fired tear gas at hundreds of protesters outside the White House, Trump said he was recommending that governors deploy the National Guard in sufficient numbers to "dominate the streets".
