Urban nature's healing moments: The Summer Palace

As one of Chinese emperors' favorite gardens in the Qing Dynasty, the Summer Palace still stands as a masterpiece of garden design. Besides exquisite architecture, native plants, such as pine trees and cypresses, were used to adorn the landscape. Covered by these evergreen trees, the Longevity Hill in the garden appears vibrant even in Beijing's cold winter.
