Another stork couple 'checks in' at power tower homes

During the spring breeding season, many Oriental stork couples choose to build their homes on power towers across China.

Their nests, big enough to match their body size, have been spotted on power facilities all the way from east China's Jiangsu Province to northeast China's Heilongjiang Province.

Their stable structures may be what attract these couples to build their nests there.

As the stork is a globally endangered bird species, their home-building is closely watched by power workers who also double up as their "guardians."
