The Potala Palace opens today, announced its official website.

With the situation of COVID-19 under control in China, life is gradually restarting. With the approval of the competent authorities, tourists can reserve tickets online to Potala Palace, while prevention and control measures are strictly implemented.

Visitors are required to enter the Potala Palace at different times. During the epidemic period, the open hours are from 9:00 to 16:00, and the number of visitors per period is limited to 2,100.

At the same time, the ticketing reservation system in WeChat is on trial. Visitors need to select the date of visit and fill out personal information through the APP. Tickets need to be reserved one day in advance.

ID, face masks, electronic tickets are all required on the visit.

With the opening of the Potala Palace, its cultural and creative flagship store also opened on Tmall and JD, selling Tibetan handcraft and cultural products. 

Bookmarks, necklaces, teacups, backpacks, and Hada – a silk scarfs used as a greeting gift in Tibet will be shipped from Lhasa to other parts of the country with no shipping fee.
