The U.S. Transportation Department said it would suspend Chinese passenger carriers from flying to the United States starting June 16, said in a statement on Wednesday.

The statement said it fails to get a permit for U.S. carriers to conduct scheduled passenger air services to and from China, is suspending the scheduled passenger operations of all Chinese carriers to and from the U.S.
