A magnitude-7.1 earthquake struck eastern Indonesia's North Maluku province on Thursday, according to the country's Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency.

The quake had a depth of 112 kilometers, with no tsunami warning issued.

According to the United States Geological Survey, the quake had a preliminary magnitude of 6.4.

There were no immediate reports of damage.
