The train was built by China Railway Science & Industry Group Corp (CRSIC). According to the director of the construction, the train could run at a maximum speed of 80 kilometers with a passenger capacity of 10,000 per hour. /CFP
Featuring a series of advantages compared to traditional railway transportation, for example taking up less space and costing less, the "sky train" is hoped to be advantageous to the development of big cities. /CFP
The Wuhan line was the fourth "sky railway" project in China, after three others in Qingdao, Chengdu and Kaifeng respectively. It also makes China the third country in the world to develop this kind of technology. The other two are Germany and Japan. /CFP
