"Why is it that China shut off infected people from Wuhan to all other parts of China?" U.S. President Donald Trump questioned the Chinese government at a press conference on May 29. "It didn't go to Beijing, it went nowhere else, but they allowed them to freely travel throughout the world, including Europe and the United States." As always, Trump blamed others for his catastrophic COVID-19 management, but his administration's slow and indifferent response to and mishandling of the pandemic are the root cause of the current health crisis in the country.
