More than 1,760,000 residents in several regions of China including south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, central China's Hunan Province have been affected by the heavy rainfall that began June 2, the national disaster reduction center said on Monday.
Nine people were killed and five are unaccounted for due to the severe rainfall, said the center.
