A submarine base built by the Germans during World War II has been turned into an enormous digital art center. The Bassins de Lumières gallery will open on June 10, 2020, in the southwestern port city of Bordeaux. The gallery will display artworks by renowned artists Gustav Klimt of Austria and Germany's Paul Klee. The bunker measures 235m (771ft) in length and 19m (62ft) in height, providing 45,000 square meters (484,000sq ft) of exhibition space.
