Chinese mainland reports three new imported COVID-19 cases

The Chinese mainland recorded three new imported COVID-19 cases and no new deaths on Monday, according to China's National Health Commission (NHC).

The commission also registered 21 new asymptomatic patients.

The total number of confirmed cases on the Chinese mainland stands at 83,043 and the cumulative death toll at 4,634, while 174 asymptomatic patients are under medical observation.

Chinese health authorities said nine patients were discharged on Monday, bringing the total number of recovered cases to 78,351.

Total confirmed cases in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and the Taiwan region are as follows:

Hong Kong: 1,107 (1,049 recoveries, four deaths)

Macao: 45 (45 recoveries)

Taiwan: 443 (430 recoveries, seven deaths)
