Latest developments on global COVID-19 pandemic

Germany's total number of confirmed cases increased by 252 to 184,193 on Tuesday, and the reported death toll rose by 16 to 8,674.

Singapore reported 386 new cases, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 38,296, and the death toll now stands at 25.

South Korea recorded 38 more cases on Monday, raising the total number of infections to 11,852. One more death was confirmed, leaving the death toll at 274. The total fatality rate stood at 2.31 percent.

South Africa on Monday reported 82 new deaths in the past 24 hours, bringing the country's death toll to 1,080, and the cumulative number of confirmed cases in the country stood at 50,879, an increase of 2,594 from Sunday.

Chile reported a total of 138,846 cases of COVID-19, and 2,264 people have died from the disease. The country saw a single-day increase of 4,696 new cases of infection in the previous 24 hours, and 74 more deaths.

India confirmed 331 new deaths, and another 9,987 positive cases in the past 24 hours across the country, taking the number of deaths to 7,466 and total cases to 266,598.

The Philippines recorded six new coronavirus deaths and 518 more infections. The country's health ministry said the death toll has increased to 1,071 while total cases have reached 22,992.

Indonesia reported 1,043 new infections on Tuesday, the biggest daily spike in cases, raising its nationwide tally to 33,076. The death toll increased by 40 to 1,923.

Malaysia registered seven new cases on Tuesday, taking its total number of infections to 8,336. No new deaths were reported, as the toll stands at 117.
