House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and other Democrats got down on one knee and observed an eight minute, 46 second silence in tribute to George Floyd and other black Americans "who have unjustly lost their lives." After the Floyd's death, many people from all walks of life, including police officers, health workers and athletes took a knee to honor him worldwide.
