More than 120 hectares of terraces in Yunyang County, southwest China's Chongqing Municipality, are now covered with cogon grass. The white grass is soft and silky, and dances like waves when the wind blows.

In order to plant plum trees on the terraces, the orchard owner has loosened and fertilized the soil. However, since May, the hardy grass managed to stretch out on the terraces.
