A Steller sea lion was found in the waters of Snake Island Laotie Mountain National Nature Reserve in northeast China's Liaoning Province on Saturday. It belongs to the sea lion species. Mainly living in the Pacific Ocean, the species is on the International Union for Conservation of Nature Red List of Threatened Species. Lu Zhichuang, an associate researcher of Liaoning Ocean and Fisheries Science Research Institute, said that this species of sea lion is very rare around China's seas.
