For those doctors and nurses who fought COVID-19 in China, although work and life have gradually gotten back to normal, memories from the past few months still linger strongly in their minds. CGTN reporters interviewed Hu Xuejun, a nurse in Wuhan, who shot over 3,000 minutes of exclusive footage at the Wuhan Pulmonary Hospital.
Recoveries impressed the reporters most
Hu shot the videos with her mobile phone during the pandemic. "I have to work for about eight hours per day during that time, but after work I like to use my mobile phone to record what happened in the hospital," she said she didn't want to use her own work time nor interrupt others, so she spent most of her spare time recording how these medical workers raced against time to save patients' lives.
"I started to shoot these videos on January 23 when Wuhan officially locked down, since then I didn't stop recording until April 26, when Wuhan announced for the first time that there were no more confirmed cases". Hu said shooting the video became an important daily work for her.

When asked which part impressed her the most, she said there were so much unforgettable memories during that time.
"I shot several times of transferring patients to ICU wards, and followed these doctors and notice every detail about their movement, because there were many equipment on the bed, they had to take very careful movement to make sure this patient was well transferred," she said.
After entering the ICU, doctors and nurses had to change new medical equipment, and the whole process was so long that it was "really between life and death."she said
From the doctors' daily work routines to the patients' slow recoveries, she shot over 3,000 minutes of valuable videos in this hospital.
Patients' daily treatment and slow recoveries also left her with unforgettable impressions. "I still remember there are four patients living in the same ward, at first they are very impatient and don't want to talk, but later as their condition improved, they also became more talkative," she recalled.

"Later these four patients sang a special song just for the medical workers, they changed the lyrics and I shot the whole process. After hearing the song, I was deeply touched and I believed it also gave us more confidence," she said.
All infectious diseases can be prevented with the right measures
All the confirmed patients have been discharged from the hospital in Wuhan and Hu walked with CGTN reporters to the wards she worked in before, and stepped into a hospital for infectious diseases.
"Now all patients need to take nucleic acid tests before being admitted into the hospital, so these patients are still waiting for the result of their tests, so we have to wear this protective gear," she explained.
After experiencing so many difficulties, one thing she has learned from this pandemic is that catching infectious diseases can be prevented.
"Today people are paying more attention to public health. They need to take the right measures to prevent these infectious diseases, no matter if it is COVID-19, flu or tuberculosis," she added.
COVID-19 taught us how important love and family are
Different people may have different memories about this pandemic, but Hu says this memory will stay in her mind forever and help her deal with future life challenges.

"I found myself suddenly grown up, I used to think that I was still young and could not deal with so much difficulties, but after this pandemic, I found that I am strong enough to solve any problems," she said with a smile.
Hu's boyfriend also got COVID-19 and was treated during that time, she always came to visit him after work. "I also shot some videos of how he recovered and I want to keep these videos forever and that is special memory for both of us," she told CGTN reporters.
After experiencing such difficulties together, Hu knows he is the one, and her boyfriend also wants to spend the rest of his life with her.
They plan to get married later this year or at the beginning of 2021. "If there is another thing that I have learnt through this pandemic, that must be I realized how important love and family is in my life," she concluded.
