By Thursday, over 1.4 million people in Guangxi had been affected by the torrential downpours, causing 6 deaths and 3 people to be counted as missing. Waterlogging, floods and mudslides have pushed hundreds of thousands people from their homes. /CFP

According to weather forecast, more rainfall is expected to batter Guangxi in the following days. The flood season will run for the entire summer thus causing further difficulties for the local emergency services and disaster prevention and management work. /CFP
