China's National People's Congress, the country's top legislature, on May 28 overwhelmingly adopted a decision to institute national security laws in Hong Kong. In an interview with China Central Television, Alfred Sit Wing-hang, secretary for innovation and technology of the HKSAR, stressed that the national security legislation for Hong Kong will provide a strong guarantee for Hong Kong's future prosperity and development.
