Deng Huilin, police chief of southwest China's Chongqing Municipality is being investigated by China's top anti-graft body.
The investigation is being conducted by the Communist Party of China Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission.
According to a notice published on the body's website on Sunday, Deng is suspected of a serious violation of discipline and law.
The 55-year-old has also been Chongqing's vice mayor since January 2018.
