A U.S. Navy C-40 transport plane on June 9 flew across the island of Taiwan and over China's territory without the country's permission, seriously violating China's territorial sovereignty, and undermining peace and stability across the Taiwan Straits, said China's defense ministry.
The ministry urged the U.S. to abide by the one-China principle and the Three Joint Communiques and called for the U.S. to stop all acts that provoke China's national sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Taiwan is an inalienable part of China and the People's Liberation Army (PLA) has full confidence and sufficient capability to safeguard national sovereignty and territorial integrity, said the ministry.
