Located in western Beijing, Shuangxiu Park is the only garden in the city that has Japanese gardening elements. It opened to the public in 1984 to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. The marriage among various plants, rocks and pond has offered quite a unique landscape for city dwellers.
