Defending Wuhan and Hubei

Locking down Wuhan, a city in central China's Hubei Province, seemed to be an extreme step as the coronavirus outbreak took hold earlier this year. But, the move curbed virus transmissions and protected the city. On February 10, Chinese President Xi Jinping emphasized that top priority must be given to Hubei Province and Wuhan City as they were the decisive battlegrounds. Following that call, local people and other assisting forces from across the country fought hard together against the virus and paved the way to victory.
