The coronavirus pandemic has entered a "new and dangerous phase," the World Health Organization (WHO) warned, as the amount of daily new COVID-19 cases hit a record high with more than 150,000 reported worldwide on June 18. At a press conference, WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus called for "extreme vigilance" in the battle against the coronavirus.
