China has built its first 5G intelligent coal mine in Xinyuan, north China's Shanxi Province, with joint efforts by the China Mobile, Huawei and Shanxi Yangquan Coal Industry Group. The 5G network in the 534-meter-deep shaft is the deepest 5G network so far in China. With the network, technicians can control the production from the operating center, through an integrated underground control platform, by easily clicking the computer mouse to operate coal cutters deep underneath the surface.
