The road to becoming a deer king is not easy. In east China's Jiangsu Province, an intense battle for "love" among milu deer is taking place. The milu deer, also known as Père David's deer, is native to China, where it enjoys national first-class protection. The deer has the neck of a horse, the tail of a donkey, horns of a buck and hooves of an ox and is well-known for its unique look.
The battle for "love" and dominance lasts for almost a month. The stags throw grass and leaves using their antlers to make themselves look stronger and more attractive. The winner is not only the leader of the group but also wins the adoration of the females. Join CGTN's documentary film crew to witness the battle in China's "Unexplored Land."
