Torrential rain battered Yichang City of central China for three hours on the last day of the Dragon Boat Festival holiday. The city saw up to 140 mm of daily rainfall, the biggest in 20 years. Many areas were soon soaked in water. Local authorities then issued Level IV emergency response orders. The city will see less rainfall over the next two days.
