Jurgen Klopp, manager of Liverpool who helped The Reds win their first Premier League title this season, promised Liverpool fans that he will keep the team's franchise together.

"I cannot promise we will dominate football now, nor do I know if it is time to talk about major upheavals. But I know our goal is to keep the team together. The boys are currently at a great age for football," said Klopp in an interview with The Bild.

Before the German manager came to Anfield, he coached Borussia Dortmund for seven years and helped the team win back-to-back Bundesliga championships in 2011 and 2012. However, in the end, Klopp had to watch Dortmund decline as they continued to lose their best players – Shinji Kagawa, Nuri Sahin, Mario Gotze, Robert Lewandowski – to other richer clubs.

Fortunately for Klopp, Liverpool are one of the most successful clubs in the Premier League, the best money-making football leagues in the world. Moreover, The Reds' glorious history and reputation should help convince players to stay instead of seeking to join a bigger club.

"The problem was that our team (Dortmund) was picked up (by other clubs). That hasn't happened here, and now the team has been exceptionally consistent for two and a half years. We play every game as if it were the last one," said Klopp.

There have been many rumors about Dortmund's 20-year-old genius Jadon Sancho joining Liverpool for a long time, but Klopp did not sound very positive about it. "The red jersey would look very good for Jadon. But I don’t think such a transfer will take place this summer. He is a very interesting player. If he moved to Liverpool, I would be the most surprised of all," he said.

Klopp also praised the Bundesliga for being the first to bring the games back. "I wrote a thank-you text to Christian Seifert (Bundesliga’s CEO) and had a lot of contact with him during the lockdown. I told him that the title wouldn't have been possible without him because the Bundesliga was a great example. It was a liberation for us in England."
