The Italian coast guard freed a ten-meter-long male sperm whale, which got trapped in a large fishing net, near Salina Island, north of Sicily. Once it was freed the sperm whale slowly restarted swimming and reached three other whales who were apparently waiting for him. According to the Italian coast guard, the fishing net was illegal and has been sequestered.
