More heavy rainstorms are hitting southern and eastern regions of China. They've triggered flash floods, landslides and waterlogging in many provinces. A record 80 alerts have been issued during this time. The rains have had a tremendous impact on livelihoods – they've affected over 12 million people, and have caused economic losses of nearly 4 billion U.S. dollars.
