Torrential downpours have left 14 people died while eight others are missing in Mianning County, southwest China's Sichuan Province on Tuesday, local authorities said.
The disaster caused a total of 738 million yuan of direct economic losses to agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery, infrastructure, housing, household property, industry, mining and commerce, according to statistics from local government.
A total of 5,660 people from 1,778 households have been resettled, and search and rescue operations are still underway.
