Tiantan Park, also known as Temple of Heaven, was where the emperors of the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing dynasties worshiped the Heaven and prayed for good harvests. Besides its cultural significance, it is also home to over 3,500 ancient trees among which about 1,100 are over 300 years old.
