Two rescued Siberian roe deer fawns are recovering well at the Arun Banner Wildlife Rescue Station in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
Locals found the two in the wild without their mother around. Their herd often appears in Arun Banner's vast grassland and bushes in the morning and evening.
Intervention was needed to save the fawns from starvation or predators. The station's staff brought the pair back home and have been feeding them goat milk. Female roe deer usually have two babies at the same time, meaning these two could be siblings.
