An aircraft with the theme of China International Import Expo (CIIE) made its official debut flight on Thursday. The plane has been jointly launched by the CIIE bureau and China Eastern Airlines. /CFP

The exterior of the plane is painted blue with white-and-yellow stripes as per the CIIE theme. It also features the CIIE mascot "Jinbao" (a giant panda) along with the expo's logo and slogan "New Era, Shared Future". The third CIIE will be held in Shanghai from November 5 to 10. /CFP

The Boeing 777-300ER plane has the largest capacity, longest range and most modern cabin facilities in China Eastern Airlines' fleet. China Eastern Airlines will serve as a core supporting enterprise, air carrier, buyer and service provider at the CIIE. /CFP

The plane completed its maiden flight from Shanghai's Hongqiao airport to Chengdu in southwest China's Sichuan Province. Chengdu is also Jinbao's hometown. /CFP

All the 200 passengers, who took the debut flight, received special mementos including models of the CIIE plane, Jinbao toys and customized CIIE-themed meals. /CFP
