Since June 2020, Chinese peacekeepers have been carrying out a humanitarian mission clearing mines in Lebanon near the border with Israel. It marks the resumption of demining work, suspended for 10 years. The mined area is near the "Blue Line," a border demarcation line between Lebanon and Israel published by the United Nations in 2000.
