This spring semester, due to the COVID-19 outbreak, all Chinese students have had to stay home for months. Many schools started online courses, making smartphones and computers necessary tools for e-learning. Jishishan County used to be one of the 23 counties in extreme poverty in northwest China's Gansu Province. Can students who live there successfully complete their studies? Chen Xueyan and Wei Zhongjuan, two students from Jishishan County, shared their stories and challenges.
