The discovery of eight glossy ibis and three chicks has staff members of a wetland park in southwest China's Yunnan Province brimming with excitement.

The wading bird was once declared extinct in the 1990s.

In 2012, Yunnan spotted ibis for the first time.

The latest discovery marks the first time that breeding activities of the bird have been recorded in Yunnan.
