China launches new satellite for space study

China successfully launched a Shiyan-6 satellite on a Long March-2D carrier rocket at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center at 7:44 a.m. BJT on Sunday. The satellite has entered its preset orbit.

This is the second satellite of the Shiyan-6 series and is mainly used for space environment exploration and related technical experiments.

This is the 49th mission of the Long March-2D carrier rocket and the 338th of the Long March rocket series.
