Mask-wearing is now mandatory in all enclosed public areas in Iran. The country's president, Hassan Rouhani, has said those who don't comply with the order should be refused entry. It's part of government efforts to rail in a recent surge in new COVID-19 cases and deaths. Iran's overall death toll from the virus now stands at over 11,000. It has recorded nearly 240,000 infections since February.
