M5.5 earthquake strikes south of Alaska: USGS

A preliminary 5.5 magnitude earthquake struck south of Alaska, the U.S. on Sunday morning, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS).

At a depth of 10 km, the epicenter was initially determined to be at 53.36 degrees north latitude and 160.43 degrees west longitude. 

There are no immediate reports of damage.
